Capitol Connector

UTA is offering special service until March 10 between the Courthouse TRAX Station, the State Capitol and the North Temple FrontRunner Station. The service runs every 15 minutes from approximately 6 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Learn moreĀ here.

Parking is free at most UTA stations outside of downtown Salt Lake City (parking is not available between 900 South and North Temple). There is a private paid parking lot directly west of the Courthouse Station. More downtown parking options can be found at

Riding is Free
Because most of Route 500/500 Special (Capitol Connector) is in the free fare zone, you can ride free between Courthouse Station and North Temple. See flyer for details.

Schedule/Where to Board
(For exact times and key stops consult the schedule)
Courthouse Station – On the :00s and :30s of each hour, board the 500 “North Temple” at the stop at 400 S. West Temple. On the :15s and :45s of each hour, board the 500 Special Capitol Connector at the stop on Main Street, directly east of the TRAX station.

North Temple – Board the 500 “Salt Lake Central” or 500 Special every 15 minutes.

Return trips: Return on the 500 or 500 Special. Just be sure to check the front of the bus to verify the direction you’re headed – “Courthouse/Salt Lake Central” or “North Temple.”
