Each tour covers topics including Utah State Capitol history and architecture, Utah history, and government processes. Select the appropriate form below to request a tour or field trip with bus funding.

Schools planning a visit to the Capitol should utilize the field trip page. All other groups please continue.
Please note - dependent upon docent availability, guests may be asked to join other tour groups.
Self-Guided Tours

Self-guided tours may be scheduled anytime during Capitol operating hours.
There is no limit to the number of guests per group for self-guided tours.
Tours may be scheduled up to one year in advance.
Guided Tours
Guided tours begin on the hour from 10:00am to 3:00pm, Monday – Friday, with the exception of state holidays.
No guided tours are offered November 27-November 29, 2024 and December 9, 2024 - January 6, 2025
Tours are approximately 40 to 45 minutes long.
Groups must make a tour reservation using the tour request form below to guarantee availability.
Tours may be scheduled up to one year in advance.
Virtual Tours
Virtual tours are offered over Zoom with a provided guide who will show the group each space you would see in person!
Reservations are required for all virtual tours, and a tour request form must be submitted a minimum of two weeks in advance of desired date.
Virtual tours are offered via Zoom for groups of 10 or more.
No virtual tours are offered November 27-November 29, 2024, December 9, 2024 -January 6, 2025 and January 21 - March 7, 2025
